Thank you to all who have written and continue to think of Molly Eisenberg a year after her death. The impact she has made and the unbelievable efforts by Volley for Molly and Team Molly the past few months have been unfathomable. We thank you. Please accept our heartfelt sorrow for those who wrote in about their own family loss due to ovarian cancer or other cancers. We are all connected. Molly's family

Molly,
You and your family are constantly in my prayers and a day doesn't go by that I don't think of you. You've left behind such a legacy; I wish you could have continued to spread your light. I miss you terribly, my friend.

I lost my mother to Ovarian Cancer when I was 12 years old. It was December 23, 2002 when she passed away. It was a very sad Christmas for us all. Molly's story really touched me. I send all my love and support to her family and friends.

Thinking of your family,
I lost my sister to Ovarian Cancer
last Nov. 2009, on my birthday
but she got the "gift" of eternal
life.
Your story about Molly reminded
me of my sister and her battle
with this disease especially
the quote below (my sister seemed
to KNOW too but didn't share all
that she knew because she never
gave up her fight until that final
day)
“Even when the doctors told her the treatments weren’t going to be successful, she was the person cheering up the family and deciding she was going to live life the way she always had,’’ said her father, Eric Eisenberg. “She lived as if she was going to live forever, even when she only had months to live.’’
There needs to be more awareness of this disease!

I think about Molly constantly and I pray for her and her family everyday. Everytime i look at my wrist and see the ovarian cancer bracelet it reminds me of Molly and it inspires to me to work hard and reminds me how great of a friend Molly was and for me to continue to be a good friend.
Thank you for everything big molls, i love you

Thank you to those who have submitted thoughts and remembrances for Molly. We have been touched by all of the messages. With gratitude, the Eisenberg-Large family.
To Molly: Tomorrow Monday January 11, 2010 you turn 20, even though we had a "pretend" birthday with you in October as you wished. Happy birthday. We think of you always. Love, Mom, Dad Jill and Pita

Thinking of you and your family.
My mother in law lost her battle with this disease after 3 yrs. in October, she was in her early 50's and loved this organization. Robyn was the role model for living in the moment and taking control of her dreams when this disease came into her life and eventually took her from her children and loving husband.
I know that Robyn has made her way to introduce herself to Molly in heaven.
My support goes out to Molly's family and friends as well as Robyn's.

Dear Karen, Eric, and Jill; I just learned about Molly this morning. I am so saddened to hear the news. I have been busy imagining Molly happily ensconced at Oregon. I only wish I knew so I could have talked to you all. Your family is one of my all time favorites and I cannot imagine what you have been going through this past year. Sorry I have not been there for you all. Please know that I am sending my most sincere sympathies. My tears today have been ocean's worth. I love you all.

What a tragedy. I am so saddened to hear this story of Molly... My daughter is in her high school senior year and just finished her volleyball season. There is so much optimism that it is hard to imagine that for a girl like Molly it all came to an end so soon after. Way too soon. I lost my mother to ovarian cancer when she was 54, but can't imagine losing a child so young. My thoughts and prayers are with Molly's family for whom I know life will never be the same. Be strong.

I am deeply sorry to hear about the death of Molly from this terrible disease. It is touching to see her friends and loved ones come together to remember her. May her life be an inspiration to all of us to continue our fight for more awareness, research and work toward better diagnostic tools so other women do not have to suffer. My heart goes out to Molly's family in their time of loss.

My heart breaks to read this story and see that beautiful young face. If this has enlighted all the people in Molly's community, then her passing was not in vain. All her young girlfriends and their mothers will now honor her memory and spead awareness among another generation. God bless you Molly.

Ovarian Cancer is such a horrible disease but I was one of the lucky ones to have caught it early. I'm sure what Molly went through won't be forgotten and hopefully others will learn how important it is to find a cure for this disease. My thoughts and prayers go to Molly's family and friends.

...I can remember at the end of her senior year volleyball career when she told me: "Mel you gotta keep up the spirit for me when I'm gone". I tried my very hardest to create that same kind of atmosphere that molly could during my senior year and throughout the time she was fighting the cancer. Now that molly is actually gone I'm gonna do what she asked me and keep up my spirits and those of the people i love around me because i know thats what molly would have wanted. You will forever be in my heart molly

Molly and I first met before my freshman year of high school on the volleyball team and from the very moment i met her i knew she was a special girl. So when she was in my spanish class as a sophmore when i was a freshman i was so excited to be in a class with a friend i knew. I always looked forward to mondays class because Molly would always tell me about her crazy weekends from halloween to black eyed peas to sophmore cruise. She really lived life to its fullest and I was always so envious and hoped that as high school went on for me my life could be at least somewhat fulfilled and amazing as Molly's. On the volleyball team she always had so much spirit and got everyone to do the 1...2...3.. "Melllanie, stomp, stomp clap". I definitely learned how to become so passionate about the sport of volleyball from her and while i never was quite the most skillfull player on the team Molly taught me that what mattered was having a good heart and giving it your all no matter what.

Molly was my student in 8th grade, and what a delight she was. I just today heard about her loss, and wept for her family and friends. She was such a bright spot on this earth, and her loss will be felt.
My best to her parents and her sister, Jill.

Molly or shall I say Marty,
I just found out where you now rest. I choose to think of it as a relocation- an upgrade to a better world worthy of your smile and grace. As soon as I heard this, I heard your angelic voice singing "Freddy my love" from grease in your flawless performance of Marty in the pink ladies. I remember every single rehearsal we had together. That certainly is not where all the memories last though- gym class and lunch periods, and carly's house too. I was blessed to have you grace my life and I only hope that in our next life we can sing a few songs from grease together again. Your presence will be missed by all that have gotten the chance to know you and I'm so fortunate to have been one of those people. Rest in Peace Marty.
Love always,
Rizzo

Molly sounds like an inspiration to all women. I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter...so tragic that she was so young. I lost my mother to ovarian cancer three years ago and have since become a loud and active advocate for promoting awareness of this horrible cancer. I will post Molly's story on my Facebook awareness page...Wing's of Teal. God bless you and know that she is no longer suffering...she was an angel on earth and is now an angel in heaven...

My thoughts will be with you and I hope the great memories you have of her will make you smile always....it sounds like that's exactly what she would want..
